Discovering Unsanctioned SaaS/Cloud Usage

Updated: Nov 23, 2022

The barrier to instantiating any SaaS application is merely a sign-up form and in some cases, perhaps a credit card. This has lead to the rampant proliferation of both sanction and unsanctioned apps throughout the enterprise. To date we have relied on solutions such as CASB, API-integration, SSO-integration, and/or web proxy solutions to ensure both sanctioned and unsanctioned SaaS are discovered, configured, and secured appropriately. These are necessary technologies to build a robust SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM) capability, but often fall short when it comes to discovering the true proliferation of SaaS across the enterprise.

Grip Security is a pioneer in the SaaS Security Control Plane (SSCP) space, bringing broad visibility into the usage of SaaS applications in the enterprise, both sanctioned and unsanctioned by injecting security policies to ensure a more resilient overall posture. To achieve this, Grip combines technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to discover and ensure a SSO-like experience with robust workflows, and can maintain an appropriate security posture for all of your SaaS applications in use.

Consider adding SSCP to your SSPM strategy and find all of the SaaS apps in use across the organization, including rogue Cloud accounts that your well-crafted Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution is not managing today!
